You can count yourself lucky to have found this unique person, I've been listening to Bucketheat for a little over 2 years, he has replaced all the other bands and guitarists for me, I only listen to Buckethead. I keep thinking, now I've found all the golden tracks, but Buckhead keeps teaching me that he always manages to inspire me, and I'm very, very demanding when it comes to music. Enjoy the grand master.

@@zisanshahriar2779To me, BH is kind of a secret which only a few (… 80K views???) know about. It reminds me of about fifteen years ago when I used to tell my friends, "You should really read this book, "Game of Thrones" - it is awesome…" I first heard of Buckethead about two years ago while reading an online article about people who had performed remarkable feats. There was a story about a one armed man who had rowed a boat across the Atlantic Ocean, a story about a stair climber - a guy who climbs the equivalent of mount Everest every day, and one about this guitar player who had over three hundred albums. The number made me pause. People who have been in the music industry since forever: Tony Bennet, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Rod Steward, Sting… they don’t have 300 hundred albums among the lot. But… you can fart into a microphone and call it an album. So I looked up Buckethead. “Soothsayer” was the 1st one I clicked on. Yeah… this was no fart in a microphone. This was unreal. Was the Dire Straits cover recommended by KZbin? That makes me laugh. Sometimes their algorithm is effective. Thanks for opening the Porcupine Tree door. How do you know the Hippiecrits? If I might pass along KZbin's second gem of a suggestion… Another musical act which seems to be unknown (at least in my part of the world) is the Hu. (Not the "Pinball Wizard" Who, nor the "American Woman" Guess Who, but the Mongolian metal band which plays the morin khuur - sort of a cello of the War Gods). They look like they are coming to raid my village and take my women (actually they look like the Dragon Queen's bodyguards), but they did well on the European concert festival circuit last summer - setting it on fire - in a good way. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGXbi4ioZad4nKc

Incredibly amazing playing on this pike, Disintegration Mirrors is definitely one of his greatest solos ever, pure magic! Eerie Canal is pretty awesome too. I still don't get why people complain about the pikes' rate of release &/or that his "look" is holding him back from being taken seriously by anyone but his fans. Obviously, he does things his way when he wants to, gotta admire that even if you're not a fan, not to mention his guitar wizardy & creative prowess. We've got, Vai, Satch, Gilbert, Govan, Eklundh etc...& Buckethead, simple as that. Part of the enjoyment with Big B for me at least, is actually hunting down all of gems he consistently creates on his releases, born from the anticipation of "what's this immensely talented & creative genius gonna do next?" This ride's over...for now...back to the front of the line...
@6TDOW66 Жыл бұрын
His look is the reason I respect him even more. It probably isn't how it started but it gives the feeling that what is important is the music and not the author which, maybe paradoxically, elevates the author even higher.

Buckethead isn't a band, it's just a guy that releases a ridiculous amount of music mostly by himself. For most of the pike albums a guy named Dan Monti programs the drums, and buckethead does the rhythm, lead, and bass guitar stuff. The pike albums are just a series of 276 I think 30 minute or so albums, which he says all are themes to rides and things at his (imaginary unfortunately) amusement park. He does have many other full length albums with a real drummer, and he has also worked with many other artists like Bootsy Collins, and Viggo Mortensen. He's been on several movie, and video game soundtracks as well.
