Because the metals that are less reactive than hydrogen can't replace it from substances. So the hydrogen is on the scale to help you figure out which metals will react with certain substances and which will not.

Sulphur can also burnt in air how meansSulphur when burnt in air forms SO 2 . Sulphur reacts with oxygen as it burns in the presence of oxygen, producing Sulphur dioxide, Sulphur dioxide which is produced during the reaction is acidic in nature.

I have a doubt. Silver and Gold are supposed to melt at high temperatures and be moulded into ornaments and the such, right? But this video says they don't react at all. Please clear this doubt.

Melting is a different thing from reacting with oxygen. But they both do react with oxygen (also platinum does). There is a lot of misinformation in this video.

Hi! Yes silver conduct heat but they do not react with heat. It is different. When you say CONDUCT, it means silver can transport heat as the medium of transfer. When you say REACT, a chemical change will happen to silver which is not the case when you heat silver.
