F-Zero 99 (Switch) - NEW Team Battle Event Races #43 (Festival Queen League Event)

It's Thursday, which means time for more Team Battles in F-Zero 99. The Festival Queen League event is still going, so there are plenty of Gem Sparks up for grabs here. Here I can definitely feel how much more intense Team Battle is with the new format! Plenty of intense finishes were had, and my teams always seem to have a knack for finishing 3rd place (though I did get a couple wins).
In this new format, only 50 players are supported, and there are now 5 teams instead of 2: the Green Team, the Pink Team, the Blue Team, the Yellow Team, and the White Team! On top of all the different colors of player-controlled bumpers, Gray and Red Bumpers will also appear. The Skyway gauge is also shared by all members of your team, but when it fills up, you have a time limit before it expires. The scoring system is roughly the same as in the old 2-team format, with spin attacking enemies, KOing enemies, hitting enemies as a bumper, and ranking high after each lap scoring you points for your team. However, in the new format, riding the skyway will also score points. As usual, the team with the highest score will win.

Tuesday - Pro Tracks
Wednesday - Mini Prix
Thursday - Team Battle
Friday - Classic Mode
Saturday - Grand Prix
Sunday - A little of everything

i absolutely love the new revamped Team Battles! It turned a mode i didn't like whatsoever into one im actually excited to see pop up. Beforehand, it just felt like a regular race, but you didn't have to worry about half the racers. But now with more, smaller teams, you feel closer to your team and the new shared, team skyway meter actually promotes teamwork.
