The developer tried to buy it from King Entertainment, but the deal fell through. He created a new game called MetalStorm, but it's quite different from this one.

I doubt it. The gentleman who designed the game tried to buy it but that attempt was unsuccessful. Instead he has created a new game which is nice, but it’s much different than metal storm.
