You can tell that Mark is genuinely happy that people can play his guitar solos. Remember, when he was in Creed, the producers told him to stop recording solos. The 90s and early 2000s truly were dark times for the guitar. The art of lead guitar is alive again, and Mark loves it.
@goininside4 жыл бұрын
wow man that creed-era history it's very interesting, makes so much sense
@gwarriorfromhell4 жыл бұрын
That era of heavy rock and metal was all about the fast syncopated riffs instead of ripping solos. Mark worked around it as best as he could, and as soon as I heard him actually shred I went from "he's pretty good" to "holy fuck I want to play like him".

Charles Tosti I met all of Alter Bridge when I was in fifth grade. My parents drove me and my brother 11 hours to see them (my parents liked the band too). They were not nearly as big then; they played in front of about 100 people. We waited for an hour after the show just to get to talk to them but no one else did. We met Scott Phillips's mom while waiting to see them and she brought us around back to meet the band. All four of them talked to us for almost an hour. We had real, sincere conversations with them. Great, humble people. It's funny because they were honestly surprised we drove that far just to see them. They signed some posters we bought and encouraged my brother and I to continue pursuing music. One of my most fond memories. Hope you get to meet them some day too!
