Hi team great video literally enjoyed as I am a Network engineer. Literally a high standard explanation ❤. But optic cables too have disadvantage In terms of cost,bending loss and have attenuation loss too. ISP like us we use optical cables till your doorstep connecting to your wifi routers. Then we lay ethernet cable if the building is 2 or more floors if the devices need to be connected physically. Need more informative videos like this with two of you❤❤

The optical fibre port available in TV is to connect to music systems/soundbar not for network connectivity. Most high end tv still have lan port fort network connection

Bro just a small info, the optical port on the back of TV is for audio input(hight quality audio). That is not for internet it is an alternative for AUX. 17:00

Just adding a point to fibre communication, if the distance increases, in fibre too there will be loss which leads to reduction in performance. So "Repeaters" will be used in between the cable for long distance fiber optical communication usually Subcom

@17:00 Optical slot in your tv is for audio. Optical fiber is widely used now for large scale connections. For instance under sea cables that connects the continents are optical. Whatever jio fiber & google fiber promisies may also be optical but The cable that comes in the last step to our homes would be mostly coaxial still. The change you are talking about is the change in this last step for which commercial electronics/ router should have optical port. This may happen eventually but right now we don't have the need. Max speed of coax is 1gpbs, theoritical max of ethernet is 400 mbps but max we are using is 40mbps. We may need optical cable speeds when we start using live intereactive AR, nuralink kinda implemetations i guess. Great research, I felt like ppl could interpret data transfer in optical cable is a new technology at some places
