Wow! This episode was great, was eagerly waiting for this one from the temple monkeys team. The debt creates money that felt a bit unclear Let's extend the bank scenario, When Venkat goes to the theatre and spends money there, the theatre owner might deposit that cash in the bank. Now, the bank has 1000 rupees again. The bank can then lend this money to another person, let's say a contractor, who will use it to buy raw materials. The person from whom the contractor purchased the raw materials might deposit the money back in the bank. This cycle can continue, with the bank lending the same 1000 rupees multiple times, until it reaches the reserve value set by the governing body (around 10%, as Raghu mentioned). So the bank can create a value of 8000-9000 rupees out of thin air. I think the bank cannot lend out the entire money. Inflation could have been explained in this episode itself. it's when the central bank prints more money people will have more money, so the demand for the product might go up, leading to an increase in prices.
