36:58 As somebody who studied that pose for an obsessive amount of time(literal days worth of time in total when compounded) just to get the pose down on the SMP version(albeit without the ab crunch so I had to do a lot of finagling to emulate it) so i could get a good photo of it: The toe is actually pointing up. In the Blu-ray version you notice the greebling where the bottom of the foot would be. The the heel is also meant to be touching the ground. The camera angle is pointed towards where the figure would be facing, then tilted diagonally to your left-ish, then lowered then pointing up-ish. This also means that if you wish to display it like this you'd need an indent in the floor of whatever display, which makes sense since in this shot Fire Dagwon is supposed to have cracked the rock beneath the heel. You'd also need a heavily tilted display base if you wish to view the actual recreation from head on. The pose is in fact possible to do(though you do need the exaggerated blade piece to complete it), I have photo evidence of the closest approximation of it you can pull off with the SMP model kit without the ab crunch to prove it.

That's a very interesting observation, tbh I don't think I even noticed the foot being tilted and the heel being dug in. My eyes were always drawn to his upper torso due to the blade. I'd be interested in seeing how you got that to work with the smp Fire Dagwon

​@@CZEN2Mostly I slid the leg out even further to get their profile down as much as possible. Some notes for the SMP model specifically: - The limitations are the ab crunch, but also the lack of an elbow swivel. You'll notice that the left hand is flipped with the inside of the wrist out, something impossible with bith SMP without modifications. - The legs are less of a limitation, and more if where things get very finicky. The way they designed the universal joint for this model made getting certain poses extremely difficult because you had to ensure that the housing was in a very specific position before committing to any twists or the like. Due to this problem I actually accidentally cracked both of the leg housings, which now leads to the additional problem of the legs just popping out if I wasn't careful. Another thing, while a fencer's pose may be a partial inspiration, with the zoomed out shot I get more of a feeling that this was more based on Chinese martial arts in some way, either a live performance or in some kind of TV show or movie.

Very interesting. I never did a review of the smp dagwon on the channel and haven't messed with it in quite some time. But I think this sentinel version is probably the best I've seen of any dagwon. I do think kotobukiya is going to do one as well, so you may have a better time posing that one then the smp

@@CZEN2 I've been collecting exclusively SMP because of the ability to faithfully(well, mostly in the case of Might Gaine) recreate combination and transformation sequences. Also, any suggestions on how I could send you the photos outside of Facebook, or do I just make a community post and tell you I made one?

how the hell you justify nearly $400 for something this small was the reason I skipped this and waiting for the inevitable The Gattai release

In my opinion, the term "justify" may not be entirely appropriate in this context, as it is largely a matter of perspective. Additionally, it is important to consider the recent inflation that has affected the pricing of various goods and services. The current market value of the item in question is closer to $300, excluding shipping and handling costs. Furthermore, the Sentinel product offered specific features that aligned with my preferences, such as die-cast components and enhanced articulation. Consequently, I opted for the Sentinel product over alternatives like the Might Gaine. I will closely monitor future releases, such as the upcoming Fighbird from Goodsmile, to assess if they address some of the concerns I have identified.
