Lol, at the game around 1:38:00 I saw that coming sooo far ahead of time. Mainly because I also lost a game before realizing it needed to be activated as sorcery speed. Really does make it quite a bit worse, though knowing about when it can be activated helps a lot 😅 Do think you win that game easily when you activate it a turn earlier though, so we'll count it ;)

Hopefully this video lets viewers learn via my mistake, and not have to make it themselves! For learning lessons at my expense, it starts at 1:32:45

crazy all the end of combat stops. rarely see those and already in second match you have done something there three times. cool to see.

Yeah! I didn’t expect to be doing that either, tbh, but I’m really glad it came up so it can be on our collective radar.

Congrats on the top 8. Playing against UB variants 5 out of 6 games while yourself on UB made for some great games but really indicates something has to change. December is too far away…

Hey, great content as always and congrats on the top 8! Quick rules question concerning the Fanatic getting dazed at ca. 1:55:10. Would it have been possible to play around daze by cycling troll in response to the ETB trigger instead of the miracle trigger? (But I guess you have to announce the fanatic's target when the ETB trigger goes on the stack, not when it resolves, so there's no window of opportunity to cycle troll? Is that how it works?)

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to do that. The Fanatic trigger needs to declare a target at the time it goes on the stack, and to pull that off, I have to have cycled the Troll before the Fanatic resolves. The way to play around Daze would have been just to settle for a 4/4 lifelink and not try to get a troll as well.

@@MaxtortionMTG Ah ok, makes sense. I do appreciate how mtgo walks you through how these things work, since I'm not a rules buff :D
