This was exactly what made Xbox Live Arcade amazing back in the early days of Xbox 360. Every game had a trial that was the full game with some sort of limit, many you could then purchase immediately and continue right away.

I love it too, but I always opt to just start from the beginning. Kind of like a, "now I know this, can I do better?" mentality. I did the same thing with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Fun fact depending on your reading the "forbidden fruit" in the garden of Eden was unlikely to be an apple and was more likely a pomegranate so the first human you fight has both because it's a metaphor, they did the thing.

Sadly there seems to be less voice acting and more reading than in a Persona game. Edit: Seems I was wrong, I am playing the game now and there is a lot more voice acting than the demo suggests, the OxBox team either turned off the voices or the demo didn't have it all enabled.

I don't want to get too into the weeds on theories, but having played Digital Devil Saga back in the day and seeing all the stuff about the story book alluding to an idyllic version of our Earth and the enemies being called humans... I'm thinking the title 'Metaphor' is going to be very on the nose and the final hours of the game are going to be real weird.

The demo was a decent chunk of the beginning of the game, and obviously you can take your save from the end of it and load it up to continue in the full game... But as a long time fan of SMT and Persona, I feel like the demo stops well shy of the point where we were supposed to see how different it was to the Persona games. But it does go far enough in to hook you with the premise... Or at least, what the story wants us to believe is the premise. The thing's called 'Metaphor' after all.

okay, point A. None of the Persona protagonists are generic, even if they are male. And point 2. If you want an SMT game with a female protagonist with a lot of personality, Soul Hackers 2 came out only two years ago.
