If you are concerned about a symptom, your doctor will be in the best position to determine the cause of the symptom and offer treatment recommendations. Cancer can cause many symptoms, but these symptoms are most often caused by illness, injury, benign tumors, or other problems. The following resource mentions a few skin changes that may be caused by cancer here: www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/diagnosis-staging/symptoms. Take care.

How about ovarian carcinoma canser
@NCIgov
@NCIgov 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vicky, Sometimes ovarian cancer is diagnosed and treated before it spreads outside the ovaries and fallopian tubes. If ovarian cancer does spread, most commonly it is to the peritoneum (tissue that lines the abdominal wall and covers most of the organs in the abdomen), liver or lung. You can read more about how cancer spreads at www.cancer.gov/types/metastatic-cancer and find NCI’s treatment summary of ovarian cancer at www.cancer.gov/types/ovarian/patient/ovarian-epithelial-treatment-pdq. Take care.

Why is it that this cancer can’t be cured? I feel there has to be way. Cause cancer cells need to die one way or another. Cant T cells eliminate them? Or huge doses of vitamin c?

Hello, thanks for the question. While there have been many advances in the treatment of cancer, because there are many types of cancer and variations within a particular type, a single cure is not likely. Fortunately, as more features that make each person’s cancer unique from others are discovered, these are used to develop new and promising approaches on treatment. However, this also means that there is no single treatment that will work for every patient. You may wish to explore these overviews of cancer and cancer treatment: www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/understanding/what-is-cancer and www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/treatment/types. Take care.

Hello, we are sorry to learn of your mother’s diagnosis with advanced thyroid cancer. When dealing with advanced cancer, each patient has different goals for their care. Treatment will depend on a number of factors including the type of thyroid cancer and a person’s overall health. You may wish to review the following treatment summary and talk with your mother’s doctor about the goals of treatment and the potential risks and benefits of further treatment: www.cancer.gov/types/thyroid/patient/thyroid-treatment-pdq. When a cure is not possible, the focus of treatment may change to reducing symptoms, improving quality of life, and keeping the patient as comfortable as possible. We wish you and your mother the best.

Could cancer be treated by targeted snake poison. Snkercatchers in India and Thai seem to have less cancer.
@NCIgov
@NCIgov Жыл бұрын
Dear Jigme, Although our resources do not mention snake venom as a commonly used treatment for cancer, this type of information might be found through a search of articles published in medical journals. PubMed®, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides a free search tool for finding journal articles in the health and medical sciences. This resource can be found at: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/. Take care.
