MetaZoo has Shut Down. (this is what I have left)

Hey there. As you can tell by the title- MetaZoo CCG / MetaZoo Games is no more. It sucks to see it come to an end. I liked these cards. Hopefully they get picked up by someone else in the future, or can make a comeback via the same person/people. Thanks for watching.

Honestly this might be the best time to buy with everything crashed. Then maybe Bandai will make something of it and prices will go up.

You would think with all the editing and cuts there would be less stuttering and more concise point to make. All I remember after watching this is that you think digimon is next on the chopping block becuse dIzNeY

digimon is unlikely to go atm. Of the 4 main bandai card games it’s not the least popular or worst selling, that would be Battle Spirits. To give context to player interaction within competitive play, at Bandai nationals this past month Digimon’s event was on par in size with that of DBS(historically bandai’s flagship card game in the west prior to One Piece)at around 400 players in the event. Battle Spirits was only around 150 players, so both digimon and DBS had over double the amount of players at nats than battle spirits. One Piece had around 1900 but it was an open event so that’s part of why the disparity was so large between it and the other games. If Bandai were to axe any of the 4 games Battle Spirits would be the one to go, it has the worst sales of the 4 and the smallest player base of the 4, it also is not attached to a huge IP that gives it a broader appeal to collect outside playing like Digimon DBS and One Piece are. Bandai also is a far wealthier company than the people running metazoo ever were. I wouldn’t worry too much about Digimon going away any time soon, but realistically the staying power of any card game that isn’t YGO Pokemon and MTG is dubious at best. Just look at cardfight vanguard. That game is very much still around and kicking but it’s quite niche to what it once was. There’s a space in the market for games like Digimon it just is going to be smaller long term than it was initially, which is the general life cycle of most TCGs, especially ones that do not rotate as barrier to entry just gets higher as time goes on.

I personal didn’t/don’t know the ins & outs, but Digimon didn’t seem as popular as the rest, so I thought about it going out. Hopefully it doesn’t. I’d like for it to be around, and I would like to get some more. I appreciate your comment. Thank you.

I’m not sure if it was from a legit source but I did see one for $149. Like I said, not sure if a legit source though. I thought it would have been more. I would still sit on it. Let it be an investment (or I guess a lesson) but either way, I’d personally be happy to have it- even under your circumstances, but I understand where you’re coming from.

The reality of the big 3 is the players are conditioned to their games. It's a shame because there's loads of TCG/TCG that are actually better than some of the big 3. Digimon and One piece will fizzle out soon enough. Bandais a good company but they print TCG as quick cash grabs. When I saw the OP 5cg and notice they were print cards from the most recent episodes, I knew it's not going to last and only be played in niche community and really small card shops. 1000+ episode and they shotgunned going towards the end. Same with Super TCG. They skipped past a lot of stuff and went and focused on xenoverse bs. And now look at it. It's dead. Shame.

Here’s a theory.. which can maybe apply to one or more but what if they give all the newer stuff & then were to bring out all the nostalgia in special sets? Like Pokémon does. I’m honestly all for that. Something is better than nothing, in my opinion. They have done that with Digimon but I’m not sure if they have with One Piece or with DBS.

If I can find it cheap (at least cheap on my standard) I’d still like to buy some more. If it really stays down in the market maybe I could just open it. I’d still enjoy it even with the game shut down.
