METCA NYSME Train Show Tour November 2022 O Gauge

METCA / New York Society of Model Engineers (NYSME) train show in East Rutherford NJ at St Joseph's School. First part of the video shows items for sale. Then I move on to a operating layout on display. Next I stop off at the NYSME club house and show some things there. The NYSME has a O Scale 2 rail layout and a HO scale layout.
Please consider supporting the New Jersey Railroad Police PBA Local #323 by purchasing their special custom run Railroad Police Box car. It's a limited production run of only 323 made. The box car is made by RMT which features metal wheels, metal chassis and operating knuckle couplers. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity. If this sells well the local #323 will have other cars made to go with it. The funds from these cars goes towards the sick or those who are retired and need help that served with the PBA. The cost of the car is $70 plus shipping. Wow! I'm the first one here! Woo-hoo! Thanks for bringing us along Shawn! And you're so right, never pass up a train show that's in your area, even if it's a small one. Your patronage supports the clubs that organize the shows and of course you NEVER know what you'll find. Good stuff has a habit of popping up in the least likely locations! I went to a METCA show in 2012, I just happened to be in the area, and it was pretty good then but from your video I see it's MUCH more impressive now! AND I spotted Bob and Russell from the VTCA watching that layout in action and apparantly mesmerized by it. I guess they're as easily amused as I am! 🤣 Great video!

@@Dakman I saw Bob and Russell at the VTCA board meeting Thursday night and they mentioned they were heading north for the METCA show. It surprised me 'cause that's a LONG trip for a one-day show but I guess they were curious about it. Or maybe they went up to sample those great Sabrett hot dogs that were being sold outside! I haven't had a Sabrett dog in years!
