@@stevedurham3270 That's awesome! The settings on the Pro are pretty straight forward. The machine is a beast for sure. For extra depth, try the NEL Tornado coil. I use it on almost every hunt.

@@GregDaugherty-in-Tennessee North Carolina has it all. Beach hunting, nice parks, gold in the mountains. It's a nice place to live

Check the county parks and recreation website to see if: a: metal detecting is allowed. b: a permit is required. You should get permission from the land owner if you want to hunt on private property. National and State parks are off limits. Check with the ranger station with national forests/game lands. Be respectful, fill in holes and pack out the trash you dig. Keep in touch, our paths might cross.

Thanks! Great question! My settings are: Ground Balance. Pro mode > All Metal (NOT bell tone). Sensitivity: 1 or 2 below max. Iron Discrimination: about 22 to 24-ish, depending on the soil. Settings may vary with different coils. M
