Good video on the subject. However, in the Light Meter app, at timeline 5:17 you said you round it up to 180. You don't need to. The app has a section called 'Custom Values' and has the provision to add any value you want for Aperture, Shutter Speed or ISO, and that will be added to the existing values. You should add your aperture of f/160 and you will find it in the Camera Meter page.

So there is, thank you very much. I use this app a lot but have never really "explored" all it options, thank you very much :)

You might want to check out Pinhole Assist. Every thing is in one app - cameras, films , exposure, resiprocity, etc. Really enjoying your vidios!! Good work and very informative

Thank you Kurt. I am familiar with pinhole assist, unfortunately it seems to be only available on iPhone.
@kurtnorlin43942 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon Ah yes. That's too bad. Must be a real juggling act to keep everything straight, but you seem to do very well despite the situation.

What brand and make is the short tripod you often use?
@WillGudgeon8 ай бұрын
It is an Artcise, they are a "budget" carbon tripod, normally buy them from AliExpress.

oh, I didn't know that app had a reciprocity calculator. sweet! I've been kinda stunped since leaving iphone for android and not being able to rely on the pinhole app I'm used to.

It is a good app that one, shame Pinhole assist isn't on Android

Thanks, Will, very useful information. What bracket are you using to hold the camera onto the tripod?
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Paul, it is a cheap unbranded one, u think I picked up from AliExpress for under £10

This video was fantastic. Thank you for sharing it. Where do I find the apps? At the apple store or at Google Play? Are they available for users in the United States? I can't wait to put this to use!
@WillGudgeon Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay, I get all mine on Google play, but most or similar are available on apple

What is your favourite 6x6 pinhole camera?
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
I've only really used the Mia 6x6, and I like that because it's a wide 6x6. Also been tempted by the the reality so subtle 6x6 and Ondu 6 lx6
@YoYoYo2 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon I will go with the Ondu for the cool factor and the magnetic filter holder. Hope I made a good decision. Thank you for your answer. Cheers!

@@YoYoYo you won't regret an ONDU, they are beautiful camera's
@richardruckert79542 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon Hi Will...right now I'm using an Ilford Obscura. I may one day upgrade to the Ondu 4x5, or the Zero Image 4x5. Other than the outward appearance, which do you prefer to shoot pinhole with? Is there a particular reason why?
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
@@richardruckert7954 it's a tough one between the two. I love the rise feature on the Ondu but the shutter system on the Zero image is better, also the option of different focal lengths. So I would probably choose the zero image if I had a choice, just buy one when you get the chance, they sell quickly and can be a while between new batches.

never had problem with apps or at least, caused by the apps. When there is a mistake, it is my fault :)
