It’s called broken window syndrome. When properties become overgrown it shows no one cares and in turn increases crime. So sorry about your friend . Criminals don’t want to be observed and when yards are tidy it opens it the light of day and prevents some crimes

I'm 62 & I mowe, weed whack, rake leaves, clean gutters at my home and for my neighbors sometimes cause they are a military family and are very busy people. I can still do it! Hey guys, great work! just an FYI they have inserts that you put in the paper bags to hold them up while you fill them. when your done the insert comes right out and you use it again. makes your life much easier.

Daniel, I know what you mean about when it gets under 60 degrees! I lived in the DFW area until I was 35, when I moved to Puget Sound and have been there nearly another 35 years. The first summer was one of the mildest in the area and I wore a sweatshirt all summer, which made people laugh at me! I’m used to it now. The community service that you and your Dad provide is so wonderful. Cleaning up abandoned houses may not eradicate the homeless but it is definitely a big deterrent. Thank you.😊

For the low-low price of zero dollars.... you two gentlemen did nothing short of a miraculous de-crack-a-denification in such a short time, making the neighborhood less treacherous for the residents, at the very least now if some local volunteers can run a push-mower through the open areas occassionally, it might have a chance of not returning to its former state. Kudos to you both!

He reminds of a man I grew up with that worked w/ my dad on a ranch in west Texas. He was kind, he was honest and hardworking and taught all the children on our ranch many things about life.
