Eva Mumbi lost her innocence at the age of about 10 years. Her innocence was forcefully taken by her mother's lover. His intention was to infect her with HIV. To him, this was his well planned revenge against Eva's Mother claiming that she (Eva's mother) had infected him with the same virus.
And as if this was not enough, Eva's mother sunk into depression. She directed her anger to the little Eva. She would spit into her food, urinate on her shoes and beat her for no apparent reason. Here is a story of a writer of a book : WHEN TEARS ALMOST TEAR.
