i dont understand something l.the absolute quickest way in my opinion, which would also be an extreme motivating factor for the searching of life on mars, is simply use the geologic search protocols for petroleum (oil). if oil is discovered, then they will know without a doubt that there was life on mars...

They're no methane on mars that mean human will not able to live on Mars and boost up the rocket to live off mars.
