We are kicking off the 2024 Fishery reviews at Coppull Mill Fishery ! Growing up local to this fishery and hearing rumours of it holding some epic fish we decided to give it a go !
I was sceptical about how it would fish, thinking it would just be small skimmers and a tough days fishing! This was my memory of the place when I fished it as a kid… well times change … see how we got on.
All my fishery reviews are filmed in the same way, discussing tactics and methods as well as prices and stock. You can also see how I get on in the session.

I live at the back of this place and fished it for 50yrs. My dad was the bailiff (tommy) for 20yrs.we fished matches every fortnight here, and had a winter league. The fishing was A1. Tench galore,bream,roach and double figure perch. That was until the new lease holders allowed carp men on.they have totally ruined the place.now decent course anglers and pleasure men who once came here regularly give it a verry wide birth. Christ you had to get there at first light to get a peg! It was that popular. The venue management is none existent. Crying shame.

I did tell U the Sturgeon were there 😉👍. #smudgeronthebank 😉🎣🪱 The reason all the line wrapped around the body of the fish is because they swirl their tail so vigorously which wraps the line around the main body of the fish the fish as the upper hand then on the angler, they then don’t have the same control of the fish like when fish are foul hooked, with the power they have you get snapped. I not caught that one but had two diamond back ones. Happy 63rd Birthday Papa West😉

Try pellet and bomb with paste over the pellet (conker)... great way of catching also Gonna try and fit this place in for a visit .. My mate loves going for sturgeon

You should go fishing at glasform near blackpool a few nice sturgeons in the very small pond and apparently a 20 pounder in there in the very small pond

Use some back leads to stop getting fish tangled on your other lines they are life savers

I tend to use them in winter ! But far too lazy to do that in spring and summer 😄
