Should we always assume that joints BC n AD are Zero ? If there are no forces acting on Fx?
@Eurocoded6 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is correct for this truss arrangement (no external horizontal forces are acting on joints B and D). It is a good way to speed up your calculations.

Eurocoded what if the arrangement of F. F. F. F orces down truss is like this |/|\|/|\| ^ ^ Hinge. Roller Upon getting the value of Hinge and roller, can we assum that he force Fx at the top is zero using method of joints??

Eurocoded your response is very much appreciated. THANK YOU !

xxshinrielxx If I am following your truss diagram correctly then you can determine the zero force members connected to the top outer two joints just because there are no externally applied horizontal forces. But you will have to calculate internal forces of the rest of the top members. Does that answer your question?

xxshinrielxx You are most welcome. Happy to help you resolve your truss problem :)

Sir, how to calculate compression load, (Ned)?
@Eurocoded4 жыл бұрын
Zbhh Arfn N.Ed is the design value of the applied axial force. I need context to answer your question. What are you designing? What are the loading arrangements? Etc.
