You can disentangle. I'm sure of that, but I don't know how hard it is. I'm bad enough at fitting in that disentangling is probably not much of a problem.

The Whitman mission is an example of how wholesale export of the In group out group enterprise is a deeply flawed strategy. At least the Spanish missionaries in the area lived with the tribes. They did not require biblical literacy, customs, dress and assimilation.
