This video has helped me a lot! My dog raised his leg and peed on my leg one day out walking. I now understand that he was stressed and anxious at the time. He was trying to tell me but I didn’t understand what he was trying to get across. I was to do this technique to protect my dog. So glad I found this channel

This is easily the BEST advocacy video out there! She is clear and concise with her instructions and the advice is highly effective.

This is a great reminder. I leave my condo and when I walk my rescue is on the narrow sidewalk. This is also a bike path and cyclists zoom by as if they own the whole sidewalk. One side is a railroad tie wall and the other side is traffic zooming by. If the cyclist is obviously not going to go out into the street I walk my rescue to the wall, turn and stand in front of her placing my body as a barrier between her and the cyclist. There have been times I have crouched down in front of her and put my arms arounf her and block her from the thing coming. If there is enough time, I sit her down and tell her to be "Calm Girl" - our que. If we are on the lower end of the railroad tie wall, I get her up onto the wall and tell her down and stay and again I stand on front of her, In another area there are home with driveways. If there is time, I walk her up the driveway, sit here down at the top of the drive and tell her "bike coming" and again stand on front of her putting myself between her and the person, running, or cyclist. She understand my words....This has been very successful for us.
