Ensure:
no history of malignant hyoeethermia
no allergy to methoxyflurane
no family history of anaesthetic problems
no recent methoxy use in the last week
no kidney problems
no intoxication or confusion
no haemodynamic instability
Don't be afraid to use it, its an effective treatment for severe pain. Just use is carefully and responsibly.
