How Methylprednisolone 4mg (Medrol) acts as anti-inflammatory agent and immunosuppressant?
This drug, being a steroid, produces side effects on multiple organs so it should be used at low dose possible and dose should be tampered slowly.

All I know is Atopic Dermatitis had my FACE yes my freaking FACE itching, A burning pain, swollen EYES, CHEEKS, NOSE, cracks in corners on mouth, inside my nose, on the side cracks of the outside of my nose, discoloration of skin, sleepless crying nights and this medication took it completely away in less than 24hrs. It was worth the risk for me. Oh and do I need to remind y’all this was my FREAKING FACE. Where I have to work everyday. Thank god it’s a time where wearing mask was actually normal.

How are you now? I broke out in hives a few days ago due to something I drank & have tried Benadryl and it initially worked but the hives returned the very next day. I’m finishing my first day on Methylprednisolone and it’s reduced my hives almost entirely but now it’s nighttime and I feel like the hives returning

@@sheilahollinshed9246 for that reason first option should be antihistamine. No Prednisone. Prednisone is more pontet anti-inflammatory drug and need caution in administration!

i was prescribed this steroid for excessive swelling in my knee. i got an mri and no ligaments were torn besides a small sprain in my palpatilla, which is behind my knee. my doctor said that i should take this drug after 5 days of just ibuprofen if the swelling didn’t go away. if anyone has taken this medication for a situation similar to mine i just want to know what side effects youve experienced and wether or not it helped with the swelling

@@XxButtNastyxX I wonder if back pain is another symptom as I had bad back pain as a first. I was given for COVID took for 4 days out of 6. Once I started losing control of my body and my mind I knew it wasn’t COVID. Long story short I went through 2 maybe 3 full days of hard withdrawals and today is the fourth day and I just have headaches but I finally am feeling semi normal. If you are 3 weeks later and experienced anything like I did I believe it but I would see the doc if I were you this drug is freakin deadly in my opinion
