One thing mentioned in the book when deciding your famous trait, that you didn't appear to spot is a feature of traits 16+. That such traits affect a Player's control of the character. If you wish to have your Knight act in a way contrary to such a trait you would have to make a dice roll in order to be able to do so! This will be explored further in a later chapter but knowing that when deciding your famous trait is important.

In Pendragon, your traits and Passion ARE your character :) Most character rise and fall beacuse of their trait/passion... LOVE this game so much. Like 2 of my players, competing in a tournament... both are VERY proud... too proud to yield... ended up in one dying under the blade of the other O_O

I have always loved ribbon bookmarks myself and usually make them for hardbacks that don’t have them. I just cut like a business card down the long side the width of the books spine, tape a length of ribbon to it (or two depending on the width), then push it down the spine where there is a gap, and there you have a bookmark :). I too wait till after I build my character till I name them. I feel like I understand more who the character is after the build and can name more appropriately.

From the games you have gone through do you have one so far that you prefer? I have so many games it is difficult for me to pick (several hundred), but I do enjoy games that have player facing rolls (dungeon world, numenera, etc), but that is probably more likely because I am always the one running the games! Also do you a a genre you prefer over others?

I few that stand out to me are Tales from the Loop (love the setting and simple gameplay for newbies), Degenesis (incredible world and art), the Witcher (game mechanics are intense and world sounds fun). I tend to like Sci-Fi / dystopian type worlds but I also want some magic as well. I enjoy fantasy as well of course.

Free league makes some amazing games love their art style for Tales from the loop and of course Coriolis. Some other amazing art games are Shadows of Esteren, Fate of the Norns (interesting rune mechanic instead of dice), Black Void, Symbaroum, The Dark Eye.
