Rather than talk about your beautiful painting, you spend most of your time here educating us about the shared knowledge of our land. You are truly embodying the ancestors vision of education (you teach us and we'll teach you)! Thank you Christi!

Christi - I am a beader in search of information. I want to bead on black velvet but am concerned about drawn on pattern markings showing through. What would you suggest I use? I am so far removed both generationally and geographically from the culture of my ancestors, it's difficult at best to 'remember' what's true and meaningful. Distractions abound. At 69 years of age seeking that 'truth' is priority #1. Making things and then giving them away seems to move me closer. Your art opens me to possibility. Miigwech. S.
