This is what happens when a band plays together, stays together, and goes through ups and downs. They somehow come out of it more confident in their music, and you can feel it. They know who they are, and they are still getting better.

I was about to buy a company and somehow this song made me realise that what I really wanted was spending time with my kids that are 3 and 1 years old. I wouldn't be able to take vacations and be always prepared to received a phone call for atleast a dozen of years. At the last minute I turned it down and only wanted to be a simple worker. Thank you Metric. Suddenly everything seems less heavy.

Let me be clear. These words, in a sense, have been spoken to me before. Sound good, but it was a fleeting moment where I moved out of the friend zone with a person who really loved the idea of me, just not me. Sounds tragic but the reality is that the idea of her was so much different than the fantasy I built up. We shifted apart and I only hope she found the true love that I have. This song, for me, captures that feeling. I miss her.
