The game is scary yes but I think its the thought of the game that this could happen if an all out nuclear war happened, not to mention the story and Voice acting is awesome in the game.

@FinalYoz your in luck its even better than that! 108 watts is max power (18 watts idle) consumption at stock clocks on the 5770 its a very nice card for the price point and all things considered! runs nice i also have the 955 and 5770 excited to see it running so smoothly. Now i need to buy this game!

Playing Metro 2033 you must be alone in the dark. I played this game late night when all of my friends left my house (I'm a girl btw) and it was marvelous experience. I love the graphics, storyline, sound, everything. In some moments it was even better than Doom and Resident Evil

Looking at your benchmark, I probably wouldn't be satisfied with this card when Metro last light comes out. I want to be able to play the game in 1280X800, DX11, very high - no lag, but that's not likely I'll probably have to drop down to DX10 if I want to play in very high, but whatever. I didn't use any tweaks to make the game run on my 5770. But you're right, it's better optimised on a Nvidia graphic card for most of it. I didn't show it in the video, but you can run the game with all the same settings in DX10 - Very High (but you'll have so low fps sometimes, but not often) and have almost the same fps as in DX11 - High like in the video. For the 940, you can overclock it easily to a 955 because it's a Black Edition you have and that's why BE are made for ;)

@Icenstoiler No, this game does not. In Crysis, the grass is incredibly high textured, the models aswell, the special effects are unparalleled, and all of this, in a hugely rendered world. This game is linear, so it can afford cheap special effects. Technology is complicated, there is more to this than what I have just said.

@crimson177 depends on what you want - a good fallout3/stalker single player or a multiplayer leveling type game. comparing the two games is kind of hard really.

No it's not maxed out. Setting are set to High (Very high gives low fps) No AA, aniso x16, tesselation off, DOF off

@FragfansProductions My power supply is a Bequiet 430W. it's enough for my specs, the 5770 doesn't consume much (less than 160W i think when it's used at full load)

@bigbrooks10 You should have opted for the 955, but hey, the 940 is still really good. OC your 5770 to 925/1350 with afterburn. I was very hesitant to OC since I'm so god damn paranoid of breaking my computer. It literally makes all the difference, also, the temps are still CRAZY low. Cheers.

You should do fine, there's no much difference between 1400x900 and 1680x1050. You might have 5-6 fps lower than me but it will still run great

No it won't harm your system if you overclock it only to 3.2ghZ. You need to download AMD Overdrive 3.1 on ATI AMD website and follow some instruction how to overclock your processor with a tutorial you can find almost everywhere on the web ;)

Wow not bad performance at all considering this game is a hog performance wise! I play at 1920X1080- everything maxed out no AA 16X AF and it plays beautifully! I have a Core 2 Quad at 3.6GHZ, 8Gb of ram and 3 terrabytes of storage in Raid-0. I loveeeeed this game...it was far to short though....

I doubt that, a 8800 gtx isn't compatible with DX 11 so you can't "have" better performance ;) Beside, i have another pc with a 8800 gtx too and there's a lot of lag in DX10 -very high, but nice try anyway ^^
