Man I gotta admit I don't really care about artists beyond the music they make but from every account Metro seems like a really down to earth caring dude. I heard the news a couple months back about his mom being killed and that shit broke my heart for him, and the fact he came in late after dropping his younger brothers off at home from school shows he really cares about his family and that's really great to see. I hope he continues to win.

Wow, Metro is unbelievable. This man has played a FOUNDATIONAL role in contemporary hip hop, and yet, has still maintained a strong moral compass and is a genuine, humble, and articulate dude. It’s especially impressive considering what can come along with the rap game, let alone success. You sir, are an inspiration and exactly the person we need at the top of the game right now. All of this to say, thank you Metro; for your hustle, and role in crafting our generation’s hip hop sound. Your contribution to this great genre, from the 2010s to today, cannot be overlooked. I am grateful to be able to continue following your trajectory, which is on track to far exceed Rick Rubin territory of legendary producer status…

It’s probably because producers don’t really get much love to begin with, except from the artists they work with, so the love is appreciated because it happens less often for them. They’re the behind the scenes guys so people really don’t even know what they look like. I’ve heard of Metro Boomin but I had no idea what he looked like or sounded like. The artists get all the love in the industry.
