This project will help a lot to decongest traffic Metro Cebu. Whether this project a government fully-funded or not it will provide better transportation for Cebu when finished.

Had philippines adopted federal system & LGUs retain (say, 80%) of their revenues, those projects had already been finished ages ago. Unlike the current system that only 40-30% of LGU's revenues are retained (the rest are poured to Manila, Calabarzon, Central Luzon), & their govt institutions are limited by law

Hi... This is a long awaited project by the people of Cebu especially those residing in Metro Cebu. However why up to Naga City only? The bottle neck going to South are the cities of San Fernando and Carcar, any diversion roads to avoid these municipalities? I know there is one short segment in Carcar City via the new Municipal Hall which by the way takes so long to finish. Thanks

A WALK TOUR How confident are you that this project will be done within this admin? What is your confidence level (1-10, 10 being the highest) that this project will be built if this will be fully funded by DPWH? And how much is your confidence level if this project will be done through hybrid PPP program similar to CCLEX? (A hybrid PPP project is done through the partnership between private firm and local government). Because all the multibillion projects planned for Cebu as promised by DPWH Secretary Villar during his roadshow presentation in 2017 are still drawings. Even the New Cebu International Container Terminal which was approved by then President Pnoy and whose funds were approved by Duterte in 2017, has not even started yet. Duterte has been in Malacanang for 4 years already and still projects for Cebu. Now, he has only 2 years left in his office, so how confident are you that this Metro Cebu Expressway will start construction within his term?

Hi Lionhearted , As per details the segment 3 will set finish 2022 and the remaining 2 segments will fast-track if private firms will take over. This project is part of Metro Cebu Roadmap 2050 that means it surely happen. Regardless, who will continue this project the important that it's already started.

A WALK TOUR Metro Cebu Roadmap is hatched by RDC not by the national government. The roadmap is a blue print for Metro Cebu’s future infrastructure projects as recommended by a group of experts and urban planners. The development plans are pure suggestions and theres no assurance of their full implementation. Being a Cebuano myself, Im glad that our bright local leaders came up with the roadmap. However, our national public officials who work according to the dictates of their political parties and associates give us no assurance that any of the suggested development projects will ever get built. Look, how Duterte admin, after 4 years, failed to implement any of the major projects they bragged to build for Metro Cebu as promised in 2017 by Sec. Villar. So I was asking how can you be so hopeful that any of these planned projects will ever be implemented in the remaining 2 years of his term when nothing has ever been done during his first 4 years in the office.
