thats a cool bomb jump strat. The time threshold for bombs is a lot faster in dread than like super metroid so i just spam until it works. In super you actually need something like this.

It’s pretty useless in metroid dread and I’m super wall jumping is better low key. Bomb jump is really only useful in like super mission. They disabled it in fusion for some reason I guess because ur not supposed to sequence break in that game

Bomb jumping is pretty useless in dread and actually most metroid games. Wall jumping is usually preferable in super, bomb jumping is disabled in fusion, prime and other m don’t have it… zero mission it’s fun as hell tho

The fact that infinite bomb jumping was removed in metroid prime, then became possible again in metroid dread indicates to me that it is intended, at least in metroid dread. There are also hidden easter eggs in the game that you can get for playing the game "out of order". On the other hand, there isn't any point in the game where infinite bomb jumping is required to progress, so if you're using IBJs to get through to new areas you're probably not playing the game the way it was intended.

It’s definitely not an accident. It’s just not really useful at all in dread. There are many MANY possible sequence breaks but most of them use advanced techniques like damage boosting, that wall-slide jump thing, and careful use of speedbooster

This trick is very old and has present in almost platform Metroid games (except in Metroid (NES) you only have 3 bombs like in the Prime series, I don't remember about Metroid II (GB) if you can do that)

For Super Metroid (and the other 2d metroids) follow the drum beat of Norfair/Magmoor Caverns. You could also set up a metronome, I can't remember the exact beat but it's around 133-134 bpm for double bomb jumps
