Its not a secret, if you played metroid 1, back in 1986, this is the most efficient way to kill him. You cant crouch, or aim ur missiles, so 2/5 missiles would hit, because of his belly spines blocking them, also u cant shoot another missiles until the explosion sprite is over... however bombs cannot be blocked and you can set 3 at a time and they explode faster than missiles... so this is nostalgia for most of us...

@@Dark_Wolf0626 ok slide jump right above the door in the room where you would use diffusion beam to open the path in speed booster emmi zone, the slide should get you far enough to wall jump up to the ledge and bypass the area without grapple beam. Its not that hard its just in an emmi zone

At 8:26, instead of doing the damage boost, you can do a slide off the ledge into a jump (similar to the second jump of the grapple sequence break) to reach the other wall and perform the wall jump

Man, i thought this game was about as linear as Samus Returns but with needing to go back adn forth between different areas. I did not realize you can do a slide jump and bounce off walls for getting the grapple beam early.

@@MDRSPACEGOAT press yourself up against the wall in front of the gap. Hold forward then slide, then jump out of the slide and hold left till you hit the wall, and jump off the wall to grab the ledge. For the second one, I just do the same thing except I mash jump, you can usually get it this way.

Holy crap this is amazing!! I love it when developers add things like this, they knew some people would figure out how to get certain items earlier than intended and rewarded them with things like that! I haven't started trying sequence breaking myself but I will soon and it'll be really fun to figure things out. I love this game so much, like, I love everything about it. it literally surpassed my expectations for a sequel to Fusion which were imposssibly high and yet they did it. MercurySteam are unbelievable man, they love Metroid and it really shows!

So spoiler: How cool was the ending? With the metroid suit, that huge kraid raven beak monster and finaly the nice x parasite that helped samus? I have only beaten it once and not 100% but i will do that in the future, there is one thing i didnt quite understand though. Was that at the end the real adam that told samus to obey or was it a ilusion of raven beak? Im guessing ilusion but im not that sure

@@theoneandonly9775 The ADAM at the start and the end of the game is the real one, meanwhile the ADAM throughout the game is Raven Beak impersonating as ADAM. As for X scene during the the end of escape sequence, not really sure what happened there. Some people theorized Thoha tribe's nature kind of helped Quiet Robe to suppress the X parasite's takeover, at least to some extent. Other people said X made the decision based on Quiet Robe's memory and intention. And that's only to mention few.

@@dindapriska true possible but at the same time that would mean that everytime she gets cornered she gets stronger/her abilities back or even if just at the end of the next game that would still mean she cant leave cause she would be stuck in the suit and cant use her ship. I like metroid games but the powerups are mostly predictable and if the finale starts to always end in metroid suit it could end up borring. I have an idea how to potentialy write it out. Though its kinda lengthy in explaining and i can only type on mobile. If you wanna hear it im down to write it out as best as i can in sone free time

Unfortunately not. It takes longer to get bombs early and come back than it does to just beat him while you are there the first time. I don't know how far along it is yet, but glitch hunters are working on ways to bypass diffusion beam (and therefore kraid entirely).

@@futurehistoryarchaeologist4480 They've nearly done it with a technique called pseudo wave beam. Placing the arm cannon at specific angles and precise timing lets you shoot through destructible walls to hit their triggers and skip stuff.

Two passes through the EMMI zone and a precise jump to bypass needing Grapple Beam, but you then have to go through all of Dairon again. It's faster to just kill him normally, as mentioned above, than need to make an entire extra round trip.

It's like dropping the chandelier on one of the Watcher Knights in Hollow Knight, just a neat speedrun trick to make your life easier in the boss. I'd put oneshotting the Experiment boss with a shinespark in the same cathegory

The team at Mercury added these boss fight endings on purpose, intentionally and knowingly, this game has 20 years in development literally, they designed it this way. The director kept putting it on the shelf until he was satisfied with the technology. Theres an easy intended path and an alt path of the players choice. Thats the biggest and only "secret" in the game no one believes, there is no sequence breaks, no secret endings, just actual smart game design BUILT that way. Hopefully more people find this out and spread the word.

If you opt to get the bombs without the graple beam, 1 you can slide jump off the ledge below that bot (which is how I do it), and 2 it opens up the flash shift, which makes the second jump for the graple sequence break much easier.

Maybe he survived his death in Zero Mission and was later captured by the Mawkin, or that wasn't Kraid, but Kraid - X... Probably unlikely this early in the game though...

@@Gazing-09 Kraid also appeared in super and unlike exploding, it just sunk to the ground, perhaps it collapsed but it never truly died.

Raven Beak likely cloned him, but it wasn't a perfect copy since this Kraid needed restraints to help him remain upright.

@@Gazing-09 If you look closely at Raven Beak-X at the end, you'll notice the monstrosity is also Kraid. It seems that the X-parasite absorbs him sometime following Samus's encounter with him here.

It's most likely an X Parasite. The only reason why we didn't revert back because it most of died off in the lava.

Changing the games progression sequence through use of skill and tricks from current character abilities (and sometimes bugs). In this case its less of a sequence break and more of a boss delay since you have to get to just before kraid to get to the area around to go to the bombs and then backtrack to kraid just to go and kill him with bombs which you would otherwise get minutes after the kraid fight itself either way.
