Alright. I like this. A lot.! Kind of light, simple...not forced into it and sounds like it could turn out as a theme for Torvus Bog or something. But I like the feeling to it. The original felt as if it was created in the nineties which was a great feeling and I also like this one too! Great work!

I've heard various remixes and remasters of different themes in the past, and I have to say... this is actually refreshing to listen to. It retains the mysterious vibe that the original mix had while at the same time showcasing originality. If you haven't submitted this to OCRemix, you definitely need to (I haven't checked if it's there as of this comment).

Sure thing! The only thing I would recommend is bringing out the hi-hat and whatever you used as the snare up just a bit more; then again, I'm using some pretty cheap speakers, so I may not be hearing them the way I should.

Most certainly! I've done a couple of things in the past and had to alter the mastering in some fashion, so I tend to critique things based on what I hear and what I believe the composer was aiming for.

In my opinion it sounds a bit too light and floaty. It was pretty difficult to remember how the original actually sounded by listening to this since they don't sound that similar. It didn't quite bring me back to when I played Metroid Fusion like I had hoped it would. I think the grittiness of the original was taken away when you raised the sounds to a higher octave. basically, the deeper notes made it sound more suspenseful and mysterious. Honestly, even though it's not too reminiscent of the original, the music itself is still great quality.

Indeed, I went for a lighter feel, mainly because the grittiness you hear in the original is more due to hardware limitations, and not the actual style (although it still sounded awesome). That, and since this Prime themed, generally throughout Prime, area music was not very gritty (exceptions are things like Magmoor Caverns and Sector 2 TRO), as imo most of the area music in Prime tries to build the atmosphere which was what I was trying to go for here. I didn't really want to keep the darker feel the original had because I wanted to make the Boss themes a bit more Powerful, as in, the area theme sort of builds up to the boss. I tried to keep a level of mysteriousness to it though. It mainly doesn't sound similar from 0:39-1:17 as besides the background electric guitar, that section was completely made up, but the starting section is very similar to the original in terms of the note progression (not so much the instruments) as well as with the section after the 1:17 mark. Have you listened to my Sector 3 Remix? I'd like to hear your take on that one. Thanks for the feedback! ^^

I like it but, it feels like it's too abstract. It's almost like it's just an ambiance version of the original song. It's not bad but, it almost feels generic. No hate. I'm just spitting out my opinion about it.
