I love listening to Bash. I know some may just find him very talkative at times.....but the guy just knows SO much about the game, it's difficult to not listen to this guy for hours and hours. Highly recommend watching the Bash & Reggie at AGDQ 2023 cross game speedrun. It got me into the metroid speed running community, it's absolutely AMAZINGGGGGGG

@cubefreak123 I have a bad habit of holding the talking stick a lot and it was an issue during the AGDQ 2023 multiworld run that I did with Uncle Reggie

Shoutouts to MrMiguel for putting on such an amazing performance and nailing so many hard tricks. Vault Skip at a GDQ finally happened!! Thank you Cosmonawt and CScottyW for the great commentary. For those that don't know, they are *really* good Echoes runners, with Cosmo's 3rd place Any% time and Scotty's 2nd place 100% time being noteworthy. Also shoutouts to Threach who was an amazing host!

This is f@*ing INSANE! Yall don't ever stop keep this game alive.. Great skills and a very informative and entertaining commentator. I've been keep up with Mr. Miguel for a while now, and this is peak performance from him. Excellent job.

Man, you spend enough time watching rando and you forget how fast a real speedrun is. Amazing run, Miguel -- you absolutely tore through the game. (Don't think we missed all those wall boosts you got!) And great comms from Bash, Scotty, and Cosmo.

CZeke is an OG, being in the Metroid 2002 community when Echoes came out almost 20 years ago

I wish the prime games didn't use OOB so often in speed runs. Still cool runs, but so far off from anything like the vanilla experience that it doesn't look or feel like a game I've played before

There's any% no out of bounds but it hasn't been featured at a GDQ yet
@cosmonawt_11 ай бұрын
This is not so much a Prime issue as it is a speedrun issue in general. As bash said there are categories that stay inbounds, but the point of speedrunning is to beat the game as quickly as possible using whatever tools the games engine provides
@LotteBlueJays11 ай бұрын
@cosmonawt_ Lots of older games have trended toward races, 100% categories, and "no major glitches" runs and the like because the tru any% runs have become so esoteric. Like, Ocarina of Time wrong-warping is so complex that the game can be finished in like 8 minutes and all the magic is gone.

I just want there to be an Early Power Bomb trick without having to go OOB

How about you just enjoy the hard work these folks put in. Go watch an inbounds playthrough. Don't tell us about how it could be better.
