Metroid Prime is THE game that got me into gaming as an adult. Watched my brother play 10 hrs a day every day. Went out and bought a platinum GC with Prime 2 Echoes. I played so much I dreamed about the Ing at night (not joking, I really did)
@10191927 Жыл бұрын
Those Ing had to be the creepiest Metroid enemies ever introduced, they are intimidating and truly other worldly, those things made me dread the dark world of Aether. Plus add in the limited bubbles of light, it made fighting the Ing feel so claustrophobic, venturing into the very atmosphere of Dark Aether was deadly. Prime 2 Echoes is my personal favorite of the Prime games.

When you can see the shimmering of your arm-cannon is illuminating the inner side of your helmet, but a giant glowing orb of plasma does nothing... I ordered the physical copy and looking forward to play it. I missed out on it on the GameCube when I was younger, I did end up getting the game a few years ago as I started a GameCube collection but haven’t played it yet but now I am looking forward to playing it on the Switch.

I hope they'll give Metroid Prime 2 and 3 the same treatment.

So happy they remastered this game. One of my favorite Metroid games. Preorderd the physical version. Looking forward to playing it again! I'm assuming they're going to remaster 2 and 3. Looking forward to them too since I barely played them back in the day.

My favorite game of all time. I'll never forget back when it originally released the chills the very first time I walked out into Phendrana Drifts as the theme burst into life as the world stretched out before me. I fire up my gamecube every year or so still to play through it.

I was a senior in high school back in November 2002 and my friend was kind enough to let me borrow his copy of Metroid Prime and his console in order to play. Just 10 min into the game my mind was blown from all the visual effects in the game. Seeing Samus's face during a flash of light, seeing rain and condensation on the visor, seeing the bones in Samus's right hand with x-ray vision and many more just blew my mind back then. The game was so good after beating my friends copy I bought my own a few months later along with a Gamecube and I started doing speed runs and sequence breaking. Nowhere near a world record but my personal best was completing the game 100% at about 2 hr 45 min. Once I saw the trailer for the Switch remaster I knew I had to get it again and play it all over again (waiting for physical copy). Game was ahead of it's time.

Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games. I have 4 different versions of it (The NTSC and PAL versions for the GameCube, the Trilogy version and the Japanese Wii version), and soon 5, when the physical release of the remaster arrives. I'm happy for all the new fans that they get to experience this game. It looks gorgeous.

I liked when you showed off the cover of the GameCube game and it transitioned into a cool shot of the art work infront of a wooden background. Nice

I'm a big 2D Metroid fan... I played all the games, even some fan made... I always passed the Prime Saga and I'm taking care of that mistake with this remaster... I'm really enjoying it and it's incredible how they translate Metroid to a First Person 3D Game... You feel that you're playing Metroid, all the things that you love are present and are very recognizable. Greetings from Colombia, thanks for your hard work and great videos

Metroid Prime did for Metroid in my opinion what Ocarina of Time did for Zelda. A near series defining entry that brought everything we loved about the Super Nintendo titles to 3D with ridiculously high ambition and fabulous execution. Metroid Prime might be the best story telling experience in Metroid before Dread (all the games have amazing subtextual storytelling, but Fusion took it higher and Dread really delivered on a new level for 2D). The level design, the music, the controls, Samus herself. Metroid Prime is holistically a near perfect game, and this remaster has made it look and feel better than ever. I have nothing but hype for Metroid Prime 4

Im so pissed they added the STUPID Wii aiming reticle and wont let us TURN IT OFF. Like the original, the game was designed around lock on, you didnt need a stupid aiming reticle in the middle of the screen. It was about immersion and this remaster completely forgets that. They need to get rid of the stupid aiming reticle. It was never in the original.

I bought it digitally on the spot, and have been playing it every night. I played the original in 4k and maxed out settings last year, but this looks and plays sooo much better. It is 100% worth the money, and if you've never played this is the version to get without question.

Metroid Prime has a unique place in history for my younger brother and I. It was my brother's senior year in high school when he had suffered from some severe medical issues that left him hospitalized for over 3 months. I remember talking to him in the hospital about how cool Metroid Prime was, and he eventually asked me if I could bring my Game Cube to the hospital to show him. Although I hadn't beaten the game yet, I decided to leave my console and my copy of it with my brother so he could play it. He was bedridden and there was absolutely nothing else for him to do. So he ended up 100% clearing the game multiple times and to this day he remembers the game as the one thing that kept him going during that very hard time. When the Remaster came out he of course bought it immediately, and has been sharing with his kids why the game is so special. Thankfully he has never been ill like that again, but to this day we both associate Metroid Prime with his recovery.

The level of detail they put on the environments is staggering, plus the gameplay improvements, this is closer to a remake than a remaster in my opinion, akin to Demon's Souls and Shadow Of The Colossus.

I saw an ad for the remaster when taking my Switch Lite out of sleep mode, I didn't know it was coming, and I didn't get to play a substantial amount of the original. I had a PS2 and later an XBOX, but I never had a GameCube. I impulse bought it, and so far I'm not disappointed. I'm psyched to finally get to play it.

I remember back when I was around 7 or 8 years old, I used to watch my brother play metroid prime all the time. He has aspergers and has always been bad with sharing so he never let me play it. Having wanted to play it so damn bad, my mom actually got me a gamecube and metroid prime for Christmas. He was stuck on the phazon mines for such a long while, never making it past the elite pirate. When I got there I actually made it past said elite pirate and taught him how to do it. Following me beating prime one, he actually for the first time, shared metroid prime 2 with me. He could tell how much I loved the games and it meant the world to me that he was willing to share. We helped each other figure out the games and really connected from there. He also gave me metroid zero mission after he got fusion, as he knew just how badly I wanted to try it out. To this day zero mission is my favorite game of all time and prime is easily top 5.

I was not a gamer for a long time and it’s a pleasure to have an opportunity to play these classic games. Prime will be my entry point to 3D Metroid like Super Metroid, and I’m excited!
