@metronomy present their new album, Small World, as well as some of their classic tracks, from the palaeontology gallery of the French National Museum of Natural History in Paris.

Le groupe @metronomy présente son nouvel album Small World entre les vitrines et les squelettes de la galerie de paléontologie et d'anatomie comparée du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle.
Depuis la sortie de l’album Pip Paine en 2006, Metronomy construit un univers à la fois mélancolique et joyeux, pointu et grand public. Emmené par son leader Joseph Mount, le groupe a su en effet conserver son goût prononcé pour l’expérimentation tout en affirmant sa volonté de séduire une fan base toujours plus large. Ainsi, de sortie en sortie, le groupe reste fidèle à ses fondamentaux : une pop romantique nourrie de spleen et souvent teintée d’électro, une envolée de notes de synthés…
C’est cette discographie douce-amère que Metronomy déploie aujourd’hui devant les créatures préhistoriques de la galerie de paléontologie et d'anatomie comparée du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle. Dans une ambiance qui n’a rien à envier à celle du film La Nuit au musée, les Britanniques égrainent ainsi les tubes issus des albums The English Riviera, Metronomy Forever, Nights Out et Summer 08 et nous initient aux sonorités de leur dernière sortie : Small World.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to see this performance. Love it. Really liked the performance of Good To Be Back (wasn't 100% sure about it when I first heard the studio version). Their live performances are just amazing. Not seen them in person, and gutted that it starts I've missed my chance 😢 (for now at least). Hoping they'll be back together in the not too distant future.
