Mauricio had the job. His injury screwed up the plans. Mauricio probably will get the opportunity to take the job in 25 unless Bregman signs

My problem with baty is that I think they rushed him. Got drafted in 19, no minor league season in 2020, played in high A and double a in 2021. Then played in double a, a week in Syracuse and then got called up. I think he needed more time in triple a to develop, he came up at 22 years old which is pretty young. The Mets seemed to never give Vientos consistent playing time in the mlb. They brought him up in September of 2022 just to sit on the bench while they choked the division and even last year they called him up just to sit on the bench for 3 months just to then give him consistent PT in august. Both these guys were doomed from the start just not developed properly.

It’s not gonna do crap for the Mets. As of now, they are 19-22 about to get sweep by the Phillies. Mets can’t compete with braves or Phillies. Lost season again.

The entire team is batting in the low 200's..scrap them all Lindor, Alonzo, McNeil, Marte.....or accept another 140 games of crap. The sny guys have already see the writing with this group.
