7/27/22: The Mets defeated the New York Yankees for the second straight day behind a stellar pitching outing by Max Scherzer, who went seven scoreless innings. Starling Marte provided the game winning RBI in the bottom of the ninth after Eduardo Escobar led off the inning with a double.

Pete has become a pretty good hitter. Has been floating around in the .280s most of the season but is still hitting homeruns, driving in runs and is just 11 homeruns and 10 rbi away from last years totals. At only 27 hes going to get better and has his best years ahead of him.
