Very recently, the full schedule planned for the launch of MeTV Toons has been revealed and it is incredible! A whopping total of 45 shows will be airing on the channel, featuring cartoons from the silent era all the way up until the early 2000’s! There’s some concern about the shows that were announced earlier in May not being included on the schedule and that is because they cannot air every single show at once, as it would clutter the channel. Rather they will rotate shows on a regular basis and the lineup will be a bit more varied after around 6 months.
Also during the middle part of the video, I go on a tangent about why CN Studios shows that are currently not airing on either Cartoon Network nor Checkered Past should air on MeTV Toons. Not just that, but Adult Swim’s Checkered Past block has been playing it too safe rather than going all out. No matter what, I’m very hyped for MeTV Toons to launch and become available in my area! It will be revolutionary for over-the-air television.

I agree with you completely that cable is on the way out, we're dropping it in our home soon. Not only is streaming growing in momentum (plenty free options out there to choose from) but as you said over the air antenna continues to improve and this channel is a definite step in that direction. I hope I have MeTV Toons in my area it looks so great and has so much potential in the future.

This is genuinely exciting that there's a new channel to play classic animated shows that haven't been on the air for decades at this point. I hope this contributes to giving these cartoons new life among Gen Z and... whatever the next generation is called (alpha?). It's a shame MeTV Toons doesn't seem to be in the Atlanta area based on that chart you shared. Regardless, I'm thrilled for everyone that'll get to enjoy this!

I hope ME-TV Toons airs in the future: Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Filmation's Archie/Sabrina/Groovie Goolies cartoons, the DIC library (including Heathcliff 1984, Dennis the Menace 1986, Super Mario Bros., Captain N, and the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy of AOSTH, Sat AM, and Underground), and maybe for late nights some 1970's and 1980's live action kid shows - including Hanna-Barbera's Banana Splits and Korg: 70, 000 B.C., Filmation's live action shows (Shazam!, Space Academy, Ark II, and Jason of Star Command),shows from the Krofft library (H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Land of the Lost, Far Out Space Nuts, and the Krofft Supershow with Kaptain Kool and the Kongs), and even Pee-Wee's Playhouse and Hey Vern, It's Ernest! It would also be great if Me-TV Toons got the rights to the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show and the Peanuts animated TV specials (Would you like ME-TV Toons to show the Charlie Brown holiday specials - especially A Charlie Brown Christmas?)

While I'm glad MeTV Toons will launch soon, I'm still sad with how Disney has treated their classic cartoons. (*cough cough* where is House of Mouse) They could have used Disney+ and Hulu as their go-to platforms to let us fans watch such animated classics, yet... some older DTVA series are not on neither of those services, and only a handful of classic shorts are available. This may sound insane and (maybe impossible) to some, but I'd like to see Toon Disney being relaunched as a DXD block that airs classics again. I just can't stand them being kept in the vault any longer.

Yeah , I agree . That'll be nice if Disney brought back Toon Disney as a retro block . Look what happened to CN ? They brought back Toonami afternoons on Fridays & still airs Toonami on Saturday nights ( early Sunday mornings) . Such a shame that Disney's gotta be a stick in the mud. They have Disney+ and Hulu, yet don't take full advantage of it. At this point, we will never have legal means to watch shows such as Crusader Rabbit and the Fox Kids library. I know that Transformers fans are still upset at them for having the original Robots in Disguise collect dust, and never to be re-released ever again.

Honestly, as much as I'd love to see them on this channel, I'm not too surprised about the lack of Disney shorts, given that Disney and WB are direct competitors and all. However, I still wish that Disney would just air their classic shorts on TV in general. If Cartoon Network and Boomerang have been able to air classic Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry years now, then surely there's no reason for Disney Channel to not do the same thing.

The weird question is what they do with the "Toonami" ripoff stuff for the anime choices- it's unlikely they get any newer series on the show, but Speed Racer and Marine Boy proves they'll work with different anime licensors [and there's some dealing in exclusively older series that could be interesting gets.]

There in the United States they are going to put a new classics channel, Me TV Toons, here in Latin America the only classic animation channel is Tooncast but it has a very limited programming and is on few cable operators, here they should also put a classic animation channel

What is a DX Antenna?

They were originally designed for picking up stations in more rural areas or from a nearby City. If set up right this can also boost its signal across from 100+ miles to across another state. Problem is they're $300.

The local owners of the subchannel affiliates still reserve the right to run alternate local programming as needed which tebd to be paid advertising or events bumped down due to conflict on the main channel the subchannels have space on. That explains the disclaimer in fine print on the schedule (on most channeis)

Huckleberry Hound will come later, but they can't air Quick Draw McGraw because they can't get the rights to the music that is used in the show (since 2006).
