@@rishijagtap3631 Your did not make me wonder. Not only you, but many people from North belt say the same.. "we won't complain". They might be able to easily allow Hindi to kill their mother tongues and own cultures. Probably because their languages being too close to Hindi and less richer when compared to Hindi and so have no special identity of their own and so for them Hindi is not an extra burden to learn. Ok. Let them do so. Its upto their will whether to protect the diversity of United India or to allow Hindi to kill all great languages in the country. But what we don't like is ... they misintetpret their attitude as patriotism. More over our self respect and respect towards our great mother tongues are being projected as if anti national things. A man who sees Marathi movies can think Bollywood to be very great. They might be ok if Hindi dominates Marathi and Bollywood disrespects Marathi cinema which never ever produced a Bahubali or a Robo. But how can we allow this disrespect? Whether its Great or not... Loving and protecting one's mother tongue is a must. Loving and Protecting mother tongue is as great as loving and protecting one's own country. Mother tongue is like mother and mother India. We love it and protect its respect at any cost. BTW, brother, Hindi is not our national language. It's one of the official languages of India. All Our 22 languages have the same equal status. They should be given same respect, you know? Please try to change your mind set. We South Indians never hate Hindi or any language but we hate its domination on our cultures and languages. Hindi belt of India should learn to respect all languages of India. To do that... they should come out of their "our- language-works-everywhere" attitude. I love my language Telugu. I respect all other languages. I can read and write all Indian languages. I love my country India. But we want India to be India only forever, not to become Hindia. You know what's India's real spirit? It is "Unity in diversity" But not ..."Kill diversity on the name of unity". PLEASE start to learn to respect your mother tongue. It's like your mother. You can become true Indian only by demanding respect to your mother tongue, but not by allowing another language to kill it. He who can not love his mother and mother tongue can not love his country too. Jai Bhaaratha Maata and jai Telugu Talli.

These kind of movies are vry rare to see. I watched this movie, 3 times in theaters, I dnt know how many times in amazon prime. Savithri was a natural actress, kind and vry giving person from what I've heard from my childhood. This movie portrays some of it thou.... The raise and fall of legend....!! That's what Mahanati is all about.... Wish this movie had another part.....

Actress JAMUNA garu is the one whom the film Crew had missed showing. They projected ANR, NTR, SVR, directors, producers, photographers, family, friends & workers but left JAMUNA garu. They (Savitri garu and Jamuna garu) together casted in many many films. I think this was not raised by almost all the anchors , especially Telugu interviewers. And its pretty sad.

Rajeev sir you have no idea what this mallyalam industry people are capable of. I am ofcourse bollywood geek. I used to think south indian movies are all crap, only baseless action, whole movie about heroes, always objectifying women, etc etc. but my first exposure to malyalam films were Ennu ninte moideen and Banglore days. Sir our hindi films are nowwhere close to them apart from high budget action movies. I am die hard dulqeer fan now. watched almost all his movies. few of my favourite malyalam films are 1. Ennu Ninte Moideen 2. Banglore days 3. Charlie 4. Premam 5. Kali 6. Ustaad Hotel i want to watch more of these industry but i dont know where to access these movies. Rajeev sir you have interviewed them means Mahanati is awesome movie and i am definitely going to watch it.

"I'm a Hindi" is a wrong terminology man. Hindi is a language, not an ethnicity. You're a North Indian. Or maybe you're a Mumbaikar, then you are West Indian. Or perhaps you're from West Bengal, then you are East Indian. But you cannot be a Hindi or a Malayalam or a Kannada, those are languages not ethnicities.
