@@SG-hc8nb YDNA results with previous autosomal DNA results. Contacting relatives and then receiving data from relatives. Church records and in my case online sources.

I have been trying to find the place that my ancestor Juergen Hch. Wlm. Meyer was held prisoner. He broke out with typhoid. e lived though. He must have been taken prisoner in november or December. He claimed he was taken christmas eve day. One of His children said he was kept at a building that was a travel agency at metz. 1880-1881. I wonder if the building still exists. I wonder where the store would have been.

Metz is a nice city. Well worth visiting. You wouldn't get that impression from watching this absolutely dreadful video. It's like something produced in the USSR in the 1950s.
