Jason we use our wanting to use our mevo plus to livestream to youtube. If we use the RTMP does that mean before each game or stream we will need to re-enter a new stream key an url. Seems like a lot of work to do before each game. Especially when we play a back to back.

No, use the same one for each stream. I find it better to go into studio.KZbin.com after each stream and end/dismiss it so it finishes up before you start the new one.

Thanks for your videos, you are doing a great job! We are having an issue when Facebook streaming from our Mevo Start, the stream always shows up as "locked" and is not visible to the public. We can unlock the video in Facebook, but the default seems to be "locked". I have checked the configuration in the Mevo Facebook profile and it is set to "public". What could cause this?

I dont see an obvious setting in FB for this and dont stream there enough to know where to point you. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

When you go live via RTMP do you use another device to to access studio.youtube.com webpage? Is this where it says connect streaming software?

No, this is a setting issue. I’m not familiar enough with the GC format to offer input. But they have good customer service.

hi Jason. When I have to go live on Facebook, a window pops up that says "Your Stream Has Stopped" ... and it doesn't let me go live. Can you tell me why? Until recently it didn't

Max I have stopped streaming to FB for just this reason. I will RTMP to KZbin and share the link to FB instead. Some say if you sign out of FB in the Mevo app and sign back in it will correct the problem. But they will change the API again and another issue will creep in. Sorry for the rant.

How do you use if you want to Edit after and add graphic and titles

When you tap Go Live just choose record instead of a streaming destination. The file will be on the sd card

@@robittner8333 I’m a mac/iOS user so I don’t have a recommendation for PC. I’ve done a few videos on Mevo’s Multicam app. It’s really the best way to run graphics and titles live. Even if you’re only using a single camera.

I have not tried to get the embed code from an RTMP so I don’t know, but now I really want to!! Thanks for the question. I’ll do some testing and let you know. Have you been using an embed code with platform streaming?

When setting up the RTMP stream in KZbin Studio, there is a checkbox for ‘allow embedding’. It’s in the part where you edit the details of the stream, below Tags and Language.

I had a hard time getting my Mevo to connect to my iPhone hotspot. It kept saying wrong password when I was putting my hotspot password in. Is it asking for your hotspot password or my Apple I cloud password?

Maybe try this order: Turn on camera. Open Mevo app on iphone. Tap on the Cellular Data option. Tap the Stream via Cellular Data button.When it asks “Mevo wants to join Wi-Fi network “mevo-xxxx”? choose Join.

Yes. I believe that shows in the 15min (ish) timeframe of the video.

Thanks for replying. Yes. Around 15 min you say that we can “share the link” to whoever we want to see a private stream. Where do you get that link? I tried the stream URL and it didn’t work.

So sorry! After going live in Mevo, go back into Studio and next to the red live button at the top you’ll see the arrow icon which is for sharing. Click on it and you’ll see the share options.

I want to send out a link in advance to invite people to watch, and discovered that I could create a playlist on KZbin and then assign the RTMP stream to that playlist (in the stream settings). I’ll send the playlist link to people, and when I go live, the video appears at the playlist link. I could do a scheduled stream instead and get a shareable link in advance, but there will be about 10 streams during this long weekend retreat, and I don’t want to mess with 10 links. I will instead assign all of them to the same playlist by reusing the same RTMP setting in Mevo. As an extra benefit, this will group them all together to make it easy for people to watch the whole retreat later. Whew! What a learning curve, but I think I got it. I hope it works! Your video got me started on my journey to success. Thanks!

Hey Jason-Great video!!! Awesome explanation and easy to follow! I have a fast question using the RTMP-is it possible to have the stream upload to a website directly?? That is to configure it so when I click the FB icon and the RTMP icon in the mevo Ipad software it will upload the video to both FB and a specific website at the same time?

What you describe is possible in the Mevo 2.0 (Logitech Mevo) app IF you subscribe to the Vimeo Producer package as this is how they handle in-app multi-destination streaming. Alternately you can send your stream to Restream.io from the app and let them send it to your multi destinations.

I dislike how you have to download the video you record in order to watch the video, otherwise it will buff if you don’t.

That is a limitation! Are you popping the microSD card out and putting it in your computer or downloading wirelessly?

@@JasonHoffmanYT I have an older laptop that does not have the slot to where I can put in the memory card so I was trying to view the video through my android tablet but it was literally taking forever to download my sons baseball game. Now my tablet has a slot where I can put in the micro sd card but when I did it was telling me that in order to format the memory card to use on my tablet it would have to erase what is on the memory card. Any advice? I would like to edit my sons games to where I can make highlight videos of him.
