I've been harping about this for a good while, but I just can't get over it. Mads is an all around solid guitar player and he does a great job most of the time, but the way he plays that cool guitar bit in Satellites (you know the one) sounds almost comical now, quacking effects aside. Bo would play all these low notes around the melody and give it the right amount of jangle and disjointment to make it sound badass, now it just sounds like someone tried to make duck calls rock.

Its not about being naive, rather than aknowledging what kind of epic guitarist Bo Madsen really was. Some of the things he did with Mew is absolutely legendary, like the extended intro for "Special" in live gigs as an example.

the bassist is their original bassist, Johan Wohlert, who left for several years and returned. the guitarist, Bo Madsen, left the band in 2015.
