I havnt connected to the internet since the raid has ended, so I can still do the raid because I havnt gotten the wild updates or whatever. But that means I’m now restricted to soloing it only. And this raid is an absolute nightmare

Yeah, it really is. It took me like 20 hours of play just to get one good run. I think there were a few close calls, but still, not very user-friendly.

Wow. This is by far the craziest thing I have seen in Scarlet and Violet. Way to go for pulling it off after countless hours and attempts! I put 5 days into this strategy and this Mewtwo is insanely lucky getting freezes at the exact time when convenient and getting crits consistently. The only time I got a really good crit was when I broke his shield but I did so much damage that Mewtwo reset his debuffs and reset my buffs.

For real, the freezes with Ice Beam and crits with Psystrike kept me on edge pretty much the whole fight. I dumped a ton of hours into the fight too, but keep it up! It can be done!!

Yeah most of my runs where it's running perfectly end up with a freeze or crit.

I’ve kept the raid around so I can finally finish it and move onto the DLCs…So in the last phase, how are you dealing so much damage? Leer? I can enter the last phase with over 1/4 of the time left and still run out because Leech Life is hardly dealing anything. Yes I have followed all steps lol

That raid pretty much told me I shouldn’t gamble or do anything gacha related 😂 ice beam always froze me and then Mewtwo would get a critical hit with PsyStrike.

Thanks‼️ This is the most comprehensive breakdown of the strategy and its mechanics that I've seen. The other 2 or 3 videos that I've watched kind of just skipped over what's going on in phase 4. I have made it to phase 4 around 5 times now out of around 50 attempts. Each time I have I have ran out of time. Mostly I don't even have time to perform 6 mudslaps. I have once but the health went down so slow with Leechlife. Now I know it's because the arcanine in my team isn't using leer. Still, to only have had enough time to land 6 mudslaps once, is there something else I could be doing wrong? Is it worth spending hours trying to get Weavel instead of/as well as Arcanine? I think every completion I've seen has had Weavile.

You're welcome, and thank YOU! I think the timer is disconnected from turn order, so make sure to select every move as quickly as you can for each turn. That might help with the time. Also, if you are having to The 6 Mud Slaps in Phase 4 aren't required per se, but because Mewtwo gets two attacks each turn during that phase, it really helps reduce the likelihood you get hit (and thus have to heal with Leech Life). Also, the 6 Mud Slaps facilitate turns where someone CAN use Leer, but because the fight is so dependent on RNG, unfortunately you just have to pray and hope Arcanine uses Leer (and that Mewtwo straight up just doesn't land attacks :p). While Weavile does have the advantage of having STAB Night Slash (which hits Mewtwo for weakness), I believe the raid is doable with Arcanine, though I am not entirely sure. If you are running out of time before the 6 Mud Slaps of Phase 4, I would suggest trying to input moves as fast as you can each turn, see how the timer shakes out on a good run (minimal Leech Lifes to heal in Phases 2 and 3), and take it from there. @@GamingAfter-Hours Thanks. I'm doing it for my 6 yo and he has reset the team to play Mario anyway. I got lucky and on 3rd attempt at team build, I got Weavil with belly. Struggling to get past phase 1 now though. Looking through the game (I'm a gen 1 to 3 player as a kid so the mechanics are new to me) I may have found a strat that could work but don't want to test and loose current build. Is there a reason this wouldn't work: Build mew with dark terra imprison, aura sphere, icebeam and a dark move (thief would snatch mewtwos Berry leaving him asleep) Metronome item to increase power of move. If you start with imprison, would all of Mewtwos attack moves be prevented except psyshock which is resisted by dark typing. Then he could mainy only use stat building which could be negated by teams Lears? Feels too good to be true so probably is. EDIT: forget thief, Ive just read it doesn't work in raids but foul play would use mewtwos increased stats.

@@outofthetrash5925 So Mewtwo builds his Sp. Atk and Sp. Def with Calm Mind, which is his only boosting move. The problem with your strat is that there is no reliable recovery, and Mewtwo will hit hard even if you resist his attacks (Mew with its normal typing resists Psyshock and still gets hit hard). Plus, without a way to lower accuracy, chances are you will be taking MANY hits as we take so many WITH Mewtwo's accuracy lowered. Unfortunately, I think it's just a total pain to solo this raid, but MAYBE another strat out there exists that is easier...

@@GamingAfter-Hours Yeah I decided to play around a bit. Metronome doesn't work in terra raids 😭 I tried using normal strat with crunch in for leech life hoping for RNG to pay off to lower defence on Mewtwo and using shell Bell for health. Could work if you could get to phase 4 but you can't do enough damage early on with it so doesn't work. New update has new (old) tms so maybe a new strat is in front of us. But will be trying normal strat all day Saturday as still haven't caught it. Don't really want to end up signing up to online as we don't allow the kids to play any game online.

@@outofthetrash5925 I hear ya, as cool as this strat is, I would HIGHLY recommend just finding people and using the Struggle Bug/Leech Life strat with multiple Mew. It takes a few min and is easy. Maybe you can get NSO for one month and then just put the switch in airplane mode. >>

Got so freaking tilted that even with a 4x accuracy debuff, every single psystrike was hitting through... and i wasnt running struggle bug to debuff its SpA too :/

I got to Phase 4 thrice last night and lost to Time, Random Freeze & Random Crit, respectively. (- Covert Cloak is amazing, albeit I don't do enuff damage. - I tried Electric Terrain to prevent Rest, but I NEED all 4 moves. - Tried Swords Dance, but I need the Def boost. - I gave other Teras a go, but Dark & Ghost had their problems. - And MANY more! I'm outta ideas man! 🚫💡) This is the ULTIMATE Test of Skill & Luck. I swear, this shit is harder than breeding a shiny, wit the amount of luck needed to have EVERYTHING GO RIGHT! 💀 ⚰️ 🪦

I'm not even kidding, this took me SO. MANY. HOURS. I'm ok with some RNG needed to clear a REALLY hard fight, but this was absolutely next level when it comes to that. I had two runs where I messed it up right at the end, a couple when I ran out of time, and then this one which was nuts considering Bellibolt was not even doing his job. :p

@@MirageUchiha I always joked "he must be using Mud-Shot because I'm using Mud Slap, and he thinks mud is the way to go." :p Yeah, when a phase has both buffs (Bulk Up and Amnesia), they are interchangeable, though I SWEAR every time I mixed it up he KO'd me with whatever type of defense I was lacking.

And yeh, it's like Mewtwo is using Action Replay/Game Shark to tell which moves we're gonna make and attacks wit the opposite one! The only times I made it to stage 4 is when I followed the instructions to a T. That's wild that you get so far, then jus have to trust in the mudslap. I hate when he debuffs me, thrn Psystrikes me for an OHKO. That shit be soooooo fuckin annoyin yo! 🤬
