Zetagipp meh I still think Shadow should’ve blitzed Mewtwo and killed him within seconds. Super Shadow can go faster than light, a speed Mewtwo hasn’t combated before. And even if Mewtwo controls his mind. Black Doom’s mind control was resisted by Shadow by pure Will alone. I feel Death Battle missed a few things, which I understand since this is an old episode. The only possible advantage I see is that life fibers are theoretically impervious to harm from conventional means (only vulnerable to life-fiber based weapons in the source). This battle felt.. sub-par. I'm not sure if I am just butthurt by -the fact that shadow lost- the way that Shadow lost, or the battle itself. Just, compared to everything else this animation and battle seemed a bit half-assed. Not to mention, the way Shadow was portrayed in this seemed rather stupid. It wasn't even Shadow. I'm aware that he is somewhat cocky(and the video states it anyway) but this really over did it. To be honest, this video was just a bit dump on Shadow really, the way Shadow was written is not only a misrepresentation of the character but they even made Mewtwo act more like Shadow is towards Shadow. Also the only good hit shadow got was when he used Chaos control. I really wouldn't take this fight seriously because there is some obvious bias going on since I find it hard to believe that a character who apparently has the ability to play tug of war with a man who sits on moons in hyper speed and has the ability to destroy fleets of ships when mewtwo got almost defeated by pieces of tech from team rocket, Wouldn't just put his fist through mewtwo's head in a split second is baffling to me.

It's literally common sense though that if you have super speed then you would probably use that while your opponent is unable to do anything about it. These are the reasons why I hate the Flash CW show because the amount of times The Flash could've just locked up the bad guys by instantly relocating them but doesn't and chooses to just talk is why I partly hate the show. (And don't even get me started on season 3 going forward...)

When shadow uses chaos control, you could have shadow use it again and again doing more hits to mewtwo, Mewtwo realising that Shadow is somehow teleporting and hitting him realises that a pattern, so mewtwo waits for the right moment for Shadow to say "Chaos Control" and Mewtwo uses teleport last second to hide and rationlise what's going on. Mewtwo learns that it's the Chaos emerald that gives Shadow the ability to freeze time while mewtwo is hiding and using his mind reading powers, so Mewtwo has a plan. Mewtwo can't reveal himself because if he does, Shadow will just freeze time and hit him again so Mewtwo uses Telekenesis to lift rocks from within the cave and fling them at Shadow. Shadow gets hit by the first rock, getting up and is confused while Mewtwo is still hiding and using Telekenesis to fling more rocks at shadow, and while Shadow is buisy dodging Mewtwo times a shot and knocks the Chaos emerald from shadow's hand meaning he cannot use Chaos Control anymore. Mewtwo then pulls the emerald to him with Telekenesis again and is now able to use Chaos control like Shadow because if Sonic is able to learn it I don't see why Mewtwo can't. But Shadow being an expert on Chaos Control is ready, he removes his inhibitor rings does a Chaos blast so even though time is frozen, the deadly explosion will serve as a force field so Mewtwo cannot get close etc. Obviously this isn't a perfect fight but it's obviously more back and forth, Shadow isn't going to be an idiot for not using the one ability that is insanely op and Mewtwo is seen as a fighter that was losing at first, but was able to turn the game around thanks to Mewtwo's intellect and use of Psychic abilities.

Okay, I'm not going to argue that Mewtwo won. It's clear that Mewtwo has some ridiculous feats that Shadow doesn't compare to. What I am going to say is that was easily the laziest Death battle yet. The fight doesn't even last for 2 solid minutes and the action in said time is incredibly dull. A lot of the abilities and powers for both Shadow and Mewtwo weren't even used. It just makes me wonder why you'd even bother researching all these different abilities and powers from both character and not represent them at all. You could filled up so much time and made the fight a lot more interesting to watch. Not to mention that it's easily the most one-sided battle to date. That's not to say one-sided fights aren't interesting, Megaman vs Astro Boy for example was still entertaining to watch despite the advantages Astro Boy had. But this one was so insultingly short to me that I just couldn't enjoy it. Still, I guess Pokemon finally won so that's a plus. Would have been nice if the fight wasn't so clearly rushed.

... It DID feel biased! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Honestly I was kind of huffy about it too, cuz awhile ago my friend showed me the battle that Shadow had against Vegeta, and I almost KNEW this would happen. I felt it should have ended in a tie, or a near miss. They didn't even bring up the fact that Shadow can teleport out of the way, or even AROUND things. Shadow can easily negate Mewtwo's barrier (which seemed to only guard it from the front) by teleporting and striking it from behind. They even showed FOOTAGE of Shadow teleporting!
