I’m Chicano and get mistaken for Middle Eastern sometimes or once my Uber driver who was Armenian, was convinced I was Armenian as well. I’m 36% indigenous Mexican, followed by 23% Spanish, 12% Basque, 11% Portuguese, 4% Scottish followed by small percentages from all over🤪

Armenians are pretty easily distinguishable. I live in a city where there are lots of Armenians, and I’ve travelled to Armenia myself - the typical Armenian has black hair, dark eyes, thick eyebrows and “caramel” skin (way darker than Russians, way lighter than Arabs)

Damn you probably the closest to an actual mestizo in terms of what it used to mean. I need to do mine too im interested in what percentage of mine would be higher. I'm white skin as well as the majority of my family from both sides mainly a few are brown skin including my mom but skin tone doesn't always determine dominant I've seen a video where this girl was very white but had a very high percentage of native DNA compared to her European DNA. But I heard face admixture usually determine more dominant than just skin tone.

I am Mexican American as well and get the similar remarks as you do. I’ve heard that I look philipino, Asian, Italian, Arabian. I decided to do a DNA test and got the same background as you did. I’m 47.3% European, 43% indigenous American, 3.1% sub Saharan African, 2.6% western Asian and North African and a few other that were not assigned. I have ancestry pretty much all over the map lol

Lol! I'm part Mexican, and when I was a little I used to get the _"Filipino, Asian, Italian, sometimes Turkish perspective of others about me"._ I took a DNA test, and what I got from the Mexican side was 14.4% Indigenous American, 16.3% Iberian, and 5% Sub Saharan African. From the non Mexican side, my mother is also very mixed, she's a Colored South African, so I got about 4% Malaysian as her grandma was a quarter Eastern Asian.

I wish they would have given you regions instead of just "Indigenous America". Indigenous America entails a lot of ethnic groups, they're basically lumping them all together. Ancestry DNA tests are more accurate, maybe you could try one in the future, the results will be much more specific. For me, they even found out the exact regions where my parents are actually from. Anyway, nice video, DNA results are always interesting.

@@pietrycranberry6621 Well, they are very similar but you can still make out a difference between for example Amazonian Natives or Natives from modern day Kentucky. Ancestry has 14 different ethnic groups with plenty of regions for "Indigenous Americas".

Ms.Segura you`ll always inherit the X genes of your momside and so on whith your daughters etc.,ask your Mom to go the church birthrecords because there are so precise you can define also the ascendants of your geneline if your Mum has o.c.the nativeamerican genepool,if your grand and grandgrandma are also born there you can be sure that you are a Rio Verde population descendant .

Lovely results Marilu - I think you can upload your DNA results on other sites for a fee less than doing another DNA test. I first used Ancestry and then uploaded my data on MyHeritage and another site. Since the reference/user DNA samples defers according to the sites you can expect different results.

Different countries invaded my European country, but we dont care. Neither that people that were critical of the church or leaders that were tortured to death. We learn more about America here then what happened to our own people. Even though we dont live in Amrrica and I have never been there.

​@@ac9184isn't whatever ppl considered a race confusing though 😅. Many Blk Americans 60-79% barely 80% African ethnicities now and most young ppl have 20-40 European ethnicities in them. I know older ppl would say because of slavery but many ppl I know have at least one full yt grandparent or some great grandparent down the line and other family members can be super multi ethnic. So it is weird. I understand ppl who are considered Hispanic mixed, but when tf do the names or stupid race names change. The ppl who super mixed up or at least when they find out through a test, they just say blk as a social construct meaning light skin or darker.

You started off looking at the DNA results as your migration patterns the lower the percentage indicates where you started and the higher percentage indicates where you ended up! The Egyptian DNA is most likely Hyksos DNA!

You are very beautiful. I could tell from the start just by looking at you that European was higher than Native American. Remember the Iberians of Spain were a Mediterranean race of people who were non-Celtic and non-Germanic in origin. With that said Mediterranean people physically have certain similarities and that is the reason why people confused you for Middle Eastern and other peoples of the Mediterranean. The whiteness and blond in Spaniards comes from the Visigothic and Celtic tribes that settled in the Iberian Peninsula centuries ago but in truth these tribes came from central North and Western North Europe. The Iberians were the native or original people of Spain and they where described by the Greeks who encountered them as olive skin tone, dark eyes and dark hair and of not so tall stature. Over time Celts and Iberians did mix.

@@agh6250 Yes I know that people in Spain can have blond hair but this gene comes from the Baltic and Germanic migrations from North Europe to Spain from 600 BC with the Celts, the Suevians from the Baltic and in the 400s AD from the Germanic Visigoths. The Iberians who were the original inhabitants of Spain which were there before the arrival of all these tribes mentioned where not blond. The Iberians were a non- Germanic Mediterranean race dark hair, olive skin tone.

Sure if you keep going back all europeans come from Asia and then Africa. Present day Spaniards are a mix of nordic/celt & med and don't look middle eastern in general. A better explanation is Middle easterns are geographically Asian so obviosly theres some ancient admixture from central asia there and Native Americans came from Central Asia there the common asian connection. So a mestizo mexican may look like a middle eastern.

It would mean that her 3rd great-grandparent was black. 50%= parent, 25%= grandparent, 12.5%= GREAT-GRANDPARENT, 6.25%= great-great grandparent so she would have inherited 3% DNA from a 3rd great-grandparent. & even that isn’t necessarily true. Instead of having 1 black 3rd great-grandparent, she could very well have 2 black 4th great-grandparents because she’d receive roughly 1.5% DNA from each, totaling 3%. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where distant ancestry comes from without being able to confirm with paper work
