I am from Jamaica 🇯🇲 and we have a tamarind drink just like agua de tamarindo. We also have tamarind balls where we roll up the tamarind pulp with very fine white or brown sugar. So so good….but since living in the US for many years, I have grown to love tamarindo con chili y sal y un poco de limón. Lime and chili make almost all fruit a bit better. Pineapple, watermelon, and mangoes are mis favoritos.
