Hello, I just noticed I have this at the edge of my yard yesterday. First year of fruit and I thought I’d look it up on KZbin and found your video. Thank you for all the information. Maybe if the wildlife will share with me this fall I may make something 😀 thanks again, lisa

I am trying to add native Texas plants to my yard. How would you suggest obtaining either a seed or a sapling of a Mexican plum?

Mexican Plums can be difficult to find. Try your local plant society, native plant sales or fruit tree sales. If you are in the Houston area, we often see Mexican Plums at plant sales by the Houston Chapter and Houston Arboretum. The Master Gardeners sometimes carry them as well.

I bought one at the Houston Chapter of the NPSOT plant sale a few years ago and it is doing great!

The Native Nursery @ Edith Moore Sanctuary sells them. You order online, and pick up on Fridays. Bought two at the annual sale, and have bought other plants via the Friday pickup & it’s great.
