America is a CONTINENT, not a country. THE AMERICAN CONTINENT, goes from Alaska to Patagonia. For those who don't know where that is, it is in the final part of the CONTINENT OF AMERICA and it belongs to Argentina, and Alaska is part of The United States of America, it is a state, not a country, it was bought to Russia in 1867 for US$100 millions.
