I don't think you know enough about the Korean and K Pop culture to understand why these are iconic: - Most groups just sing whatever is given to them. They don't typically contribute to their music. Whereas Mamamoo has written, composed, and produced some of their music (even choreographed on their own) - Singing live is also not typical. Some groups do, but most either lip sync or have the backing track so loud you can't hear them (and when you remove it they may not even sound good). Mamamoo sing live and clearly/stably. - Hwasa was singing live, with 3 people on top of her. It was also her first win for her solo debut. Also, Encore stages are usually more composed than that - Any award performance by Mamamoo is iconic, because they don't just perform the studio version of their song (again as most other groups do). They will remix their songs, and put on big productions for award performances - SK is still fairly conservative with regard to the LGBTQ+ community. For Mamamoo to feature Drag Queens during a big, public, award show performance was a big statement. - The man, who Solar slapped in the butt, is Jin Young Park of JYP Entertainment (twice, stray kids, etc.) He's a legend, and that performance also resulted in one of the most iconic audience reactions of all time (got7 Jackson's reaction). I definitely recommend reacting to the guides to understand how much Mamamoo had really done and pioneered. Maybe save things like this for when you get deeper into kpop, so you can really appreciate these groups (not just Mamamoo) for what they do and who they are

You gotta understand Korea first to then understand why these moments are iconic. View the clips in the eyes of a conservative, close-minded, Korean. The typical girl group is cute, adorable, bubblegum pop, and smiley. You get the point. Mamamoo are women, they embrace their sexiness, they show their bodies, they choreograph, write, produce, compose their music; a lot of groups follow what their company gives them, include lgbtqia+ community in their performances, break the beauty standards, cuss, pole dance, they break the fourth wall. They don’t care. They do what they want, they can do what a man can do, and they do it 50x’s better!

Speaking of Iconic, you should react to supergroup Refund Sisters! Hwasa from Mamamoo is one of the members and the youngest. She is in her 20s, Jessi 30s, Lee Hyori 40s and Uhm Jung-hwa is in her 50s. Such a shame they only released one song/video called Don't Touch Me

haha seeing you all confuse is so cute. 1. The first clip doesn’t have wheein because she broke her leg 2. They went in as teletubbie because they got wrong dress code but they was very confident walking in it 3. It is iconic because in Kpop idols don’t usually do Choreography or writing the song. Basiclly the company will have people create everything and idols only have to learn to perform it. Mamamoo is a very rare case that do everything by them selve (write the song, create choreography, deciding on the set and production of the MV, deciding on their outfit,…) 3. Hwasa was rejected by many companies because they said she look ugly eventhough they admited that she was talented. At the begging people even tell their company to kick her out of the group because she was not fitting the Korean beauty standard. She went through all that, became one of the most famous kpop artist. She tell them that she will create her own standard. 4. People was supprise because they bring LGBT+ dancer on stage. It’s very strict in Korea, there was an idols who got extreme backlash because she wore a rainbow dress. They hate on her claiming that she was gay. So Mamamoo was very brave to publicly show there support to LGBT comunity. There were so many more I can say. You did’t see how it is Iconic because you don’t understand the culture, the context of the story. Most of these videos show things that in Korea no other group would dare to do (at least at that time)
